4th All Goa Inter College/HSS Tiatr Competition 2024-25

4 th All Goa Inter College/HSS Tiatr Competition 2024-25 was organized by Tiatr Academy of Goa in collaboration with Kala Academy Goa from 28 th August to 4 th September 2024 from 3.30 pm onwards at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir.

The inaugural function of the competition was held on 28 th August 2024 at 3.30 pm at the hands of Shri. Sagun Velip, Director of Art & Culture/ President of TAG and Shri. Arvind Khutkar, Member Secretary of Kala Academy Goa. Dr. Manoj Kamat, Principal of DCT’s S.S.Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Cujira Goa was also present for the inaugural function.

Shri. Sagun Velip, Director of Art & Culture/ President of TAG welcomed the gathering. Six Colleges/HSS participated in the competition.

DCT’s S.S.Dempo College of Commerce & Economics, Cujira Goa performed 1 st Tiatr of the competition ‘Uddtta To Bhuddtta’ on 28 th August 2024. Carmel College of Arts, Science & Commerce for Women, Nuvem staged tiatr ‘Chuk Konnachi’ on 29 th August 2024. St. Xaviers College, Mapusa staged tiatr ‘Chitrkar’ on 30 th August 2024 and tiatr ‘Nivolkantto’ was staged by Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim, Salcete Goa on 2 nd September 2024. Fr. Agnel College of Arts & Commerce, Pilar Goa staged ‘Moga Mhaka Moguch Puro’ tiatr on 3 rd September 2024. Fr. Agnel Higher Secondary School, Pilar Goa staged last tiatr of the competition ‘Romeo Juliet on 4 th September 2024.

Shri. Pedro Vaz and Shri. Anil Pednekar judged the competition.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri. Arvind Khutkar, Member Secretary of Kala Academy Goa. The programme was co-ordinated and compered by Smt. Vijaya Tari, Cultural Organiser of TAG.

Prizes of the competition were distributed to the winners on the occasion of Birth Anniversary of late Rosario Rodrigues, Father of Khell-Tiatr on 24 th October 2024 at 3:30 pm at the Conference Hall of Ravindra Bhavan Margao at the hands of Chief Guest of the function Adv. Narendra Sawaikar, Hon’ble Commissioner for NRI Affairs, Guest of Honour Shri. Menino Fernandes (Menino de Bandar), a well-known Tiatrist and Ex-President of TAG and other dignitaries.
