Regina’s Birth Anniversary celebrated –‘Young Achievers Awards – 2021’ presented

Tiatr Academy of Goa celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Regina Fernandes, the First Lady of the Tiatr Stage on 16th November, 2021 at the Main Auditorium of Institute Menezes Braganza, Panjim. On this occasion, TAG presented ‘Young Achievers Awards – 2021’ to two of the brightest artistes of Tiatr, Crostina Pooja Baptista and Nazareth Carmo Fernandes for their valuable contribution to Tiatr. The award consisted of a memento, citation and cash purse.

The awards were presented at the hands of the Chief Guest, Shri. Cezar D’Mello, a senior tiatrist, Ex- Member Secretary of TAG and Goa State Cultural Awardee in the presence of Smt. Carmin Barbosa, a renowned tiatr artist, who was the Guest of Honour.

Speaking on the occasion Shri. Cezar D’Mello congratulated both the awardees and also TAG for recognizing the work of tiatr artistes. He further said that this is the start for them and should contribute more to tiatr.

Smt. Carmin Barbosa congratulated both the awardees and said that today we see girls on the stage only because of Regina Fernandes and many of our lady artistes have made their future by acting in tiatrs and that she is proud to be a tiatrist.

Awardee Nazareth thanked TAG for recognizing his work and bestowing this award upon him.

Shri. Menino Fernandes, President of TAG welcomed the guests and Shri. Mario Menezes, Vice President of TAG proposed a vote of thanks. The function was compered by Willy Silveira.

After the formal function, a Konkani Musical Show was presented by Lawry Travasso. The programme was coordinated by Smt. Vijaya Tari.
